XI International Festival of Young Pianists

in Głubczyce

23 – 26 April 2017

 

The event is entered in the calendar of National and International Events organized by Artistic Schools of the First and Second Degree – school year 2016/2017

 

REGULATIONS

§ 1

The competition will run in three age categories:

Group I – up to 10 years of age (born in 2007 and younger)

Group II – up to 12 years of age (born in 2005 and younger)

Group III – up to 15 years of age (born in 2002 and younger)

§ 2

  1. Application form
  2. Completed application should be sent in its electronic version only to the following e-mail address: festiwal@psm.glubczyce.info and no later than 03/17/2017.
  3. The application form must include:

– scan of birth certificate or other document confirming the date and place of birth

– passport photo (jpg format)

– scan confirming the payment of the registration fee

– scan of consent for processing personal data and image of the participant, signed by a parent or legal guardian.

4. The organizers have the right to disqualify the application that does not meet the requirements.

§ 3

  1. The entrance fee of 150 zł must be paid no later than 17.3.2017 to the following account:

  1. Applications without a proof of payment will not be accepted.
  2. The entry fee is not refundable in case of cancellation of the participation in the Festival. All transfer costs are covered by participants.

§ 4

1. Participants who take part in the hearings will be heard in the order of age, from the youngest to the oldest (according to the birth certificate).

2. The auditions in groups I and II are a single stage auditions. The auditions in Group III will take place in two stages. The order of performed pieces in various stages is arbitrary. All music must be performed from memory.

3. Participants perform the following program:

Group I – up to 10 years of age (born in 2007 and younger)

1. A Baroque piece

2. Etude or a virtuoso piece

3. Allegro sonata from sonata or a classical sonata

 

Group II – up to 12 years of age (born in 2005 and younger)

1. Baroque polyphonic piece

2. Etude or a virtuoso piece

3. Allegro sonata from sonata or a classical sonata.

4. Any piece of music

 

Group III – up to 15 years of age (born in 2002 and younger)
Stage 1.

1. Baroque polyphonic piece

2. Etude or a virtuoso piece

3. A piece from Romanticism
Stage 2.

1. Classical sonata or sonatina – entire piece

2. A piece by the twentieth century composer

§5

1. All auditions are judged by the Jury consisting of eminent musicians and educators from Poland and abroad.

2. The Jury is appointed by the Director of the Department of Art and Cultural Education of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

2. A person whose students take part in the competition cannot be a Chairman or a member of the panel of judges.

3. Decisions of the Jury are final and cannot be subjected to appeal.

§ 6

1. The organizers have established the following prizes:
Group I – material prize
Group II – cash prizes

Group III – cash prizes
2. The organizers will also award the Grand Prix for the best participant of the Festival, the prize for the best performance of a sonata, distinctions, special prizes and prizes which are not stated within this set of regulations.

3. Prizes will be paid in PLN as an equivalent of Euro.

4. All prizes are awarded by the Jury.

5. All prizes and diplomas will be awarded during a closing ceremony of the Festival.

6. The winners of the Festival are required to perform at the gala.

7. All participants will receive a certificate of participation and souvenirs.

§ 7
The organizers reserve the right to video – acoustic recordings during the competition without compensation.

§ 8

Participants and their parents or guardians cover all costs of travel, accommodation and living and are responsible for reservation of accommodation for the time of the Festival.

§ 9
By sending application, participants accept the terms and conditions of the Festival.
